Skymcare. How It Started.
A good bottle of wine and a good idea. That's how Skymcare began.
In that ever so notorious mid-year break in Melbourne, Australia, we, AKA Skymcare founders, Cindy and Sam, met for drinks and dinner. As it always does when we get together, the conversation shifted to travel (our shared love) and our go to skin care products we refuse to travel without.
One of those skin care products was an anti-chafing cream. Cindy's ride or die product was made overseas and we felt there was an amazing opportunity to bring this product closer to home, improving on the formula right here in Australia.
That’s when our lightbulb hit.
What if, we could combine our unique skills (Cindy’s exceptional project management and Sam’s lifetime in the beauty industry) to create an Australian made chaffing solution using nothing but effective ingredients that heals the skin as well?
So that’s exactly what we did.
From the most in-depth market research you’ll ever come across (seriously, we’re MEGA thorough!) to testing and trialing our dream ingredients, Smooth Sailing was born.
A sleek, sophisticated mix of Australian ingredients that not only solves the chafing dilemma but also nourishes and cares for your skin, Smooth Sailing will set you free and get you smoothly, comfortably into those summer dresses for your drinks out with the girls, into your shorts when you’re hitting the job site in the middle of summer, or into your lycra when jumping on the bike for a sweaty ride around town.
