Want to find out about the brains behind SkymCare?

Allow us to introduce ourselves!

We’re Cindy and Sam, and we were introduced a while back by a mutual friend who thought we’d be a perfect match! With our shared love of all things travel, food and deep exploration of both, our friend hit the nail on the head and we were FAST friends!

Let’s start by getting to know Sam!

“I’ve worked in the beauty industry for nearly three decades in Australia and Europe, across a range of different areas from sales and marketing to manufacturing and product development. As the owner of The Power Room, I’ve created beauty products for Sand&Sky, Coco and Eve and perfumes for range of Australian and international brands such as Cathay Pacific and Bombay Sapphire. My specialty, if I do say so myself, is elevating everyday products with new textures, ingredients and experiences.

I'm typical Melbourne style, I wear black on black with a questionable love for drop crotch pants and vertiginous heels, and I’ll go out for cocktails and dinner any chance I get.”

And now, Cindy!

“I have a unique background in the building industry, with my key skills in meticulous planning, strategy and on-schedule project delivery in mega competitive, fast paced environments. My bottom line approach to project management means I’m pretty used to dealing with a whole range of moving parts, and I excel in bringing them all together and making them WORK!

When I’m here in Melbourne, you’ll find me ALSO in black on black, but when I’m travelling, you’ll find me rocking my resort wear (with anti-chaffing cream in my bag at ALL TIMES!).

What started with a glass (or two) of wine between friends has flourished into a brilliant partnership, combining Sam’s beauty product development expertise and Cindy’s project management prowess to create an amazing brand in SkymCare and an even better product in Smooth Sailing.
